Τo Άkros Oreon είναι ένας μικρός παραδοσιακός ξενώνας κτισμένος απέναντι από το πευκόδασος της Κάτω Σύμης και περικλείεται από δασώδη ορεινή έκταση, αμφιθεατρικά, σε απόσταση 2 χλμ. από τον οικισμό. Τα πέτρινα καταλύματα είναι κτισμένα σε έναν παλιό αμπελώνα με θέα τις κορυφές της Δίκτης, τον Αφέντη, την Μαδάρα σε μια κατάφυτη από βλάστηση κοιλάδα, σε τοπίο με επιβλητική αγριότητα.

"What a treasure"
This place took two years to build and when you see how for up in the mountains you are and the tiny dirt track you need to use to get there, you will see why!
This place we thought was a celebrity hang out! Clean, modern and very family style relaxation. The local village on the opposite side of the vally has a charming feel and wonderful resturant where they fill up you water jug from the natural spring that comes out of the mountain side!
We took a couple of quilts from the room and laid under the stars as you are so far up the sky is so clear you can see the milky way and watch shooting stars as they fall to Earth.
Fresh oranges, cut and squeezed into the glass for breakfast was just the nicest organge I have ever tasted.
If you want to get away from it all and have some private time but see Crete and the village feel of the place then this is a wonderful little hotel. Sleeps up to 20 so a few families together would be good.
